Send email

email_send

Send a personal 1:1 email from the user's own connected mailbox, as a new thread or a reply. Sends respect mailbox daily limits, warmup, and working hours; queued sends report scheduled_for. A reply on any channel cancels outreach queued before it unless stop_on_reply is false. Not for newsletters or bulk email.

Send one personal email to a lead from your own mailbox, or reply in an existing email thread.

Requirements

Provide lead_id or to.
Provide body, and a subject for a new thread.
account_id is optional: SalesTouch picks the mailbox already used with the lead, then the one with the most unused daily capacity.
Set queue to true, or pass scheduled_for, to wait for the next free sending slot instead of failing at the daily limit.

Expected: A sent result with the thread and message ids, or a queued result with queued_action_id and scheduled_for.

Parameters

account_id
string

Connected mailbox id or email address returned by email_accounts. Defaults to the mailbox already used with the lead, then to the mailbox with the most unused daily capacity.

lead_id
string

Canonical SalesTouch lead id returned by lead_status or leads_search.

to
string

Recipient email address. Required without lead_id; with lead_id it is attached to that lead.

first_name
string

Recipient first name, saved when the address creates a new lead.

last_name
string

Recipient last name, saved when the address creates a new lead.

subject
string

Email subject. Required for a new thread; replies reuse the thread subject.

bodyrequired
string

Plain-text email body. The mailbox signature is appended.

reply_to_thread_id
string

Email thread id returned by email_threads. The reply is sent from the mailbox of that thread.

stop_on_reply
boolean

Skip this queued email if the lead replies on any channel before it is sent. Defaults to true.

scheduled_for
string

Future ISO 8601 datetime with timezone. The action will never run before this time and queueing is implicit.

queue
boolean

Set true to queue this action when it cannot run now.

Aliases are shown independently because MCP clients send a flat JSON object. Use one alias from each required group, not every alias.

Common errors

insufficient_scope

Reconnect the MCP and approve the requested LinkedIn permission.

paid_plan_required

Use a SalesTouch workspace with LinkedIn MCP access.

trial_payment_method_required

Add a payment method in SalesTouch billing to activate the trial and LinkedIn MCP access.

action_limit_queue_required

Repeat the call with queue set to true.

email_account_required

Connect a mailbox in SalesTouch settings, then retry.

email_reconnect_required

Reconnect the mailbox in SalesTouch settings, then retry.

lead_email_missing

Import an email address for the lead with leads_import, or pass to.

email_recipient_suppressed

Do not retry: this address bounced before. Find another address for the lead.
